New Walrus Audio releases are always worth checking out. And the company’s latest effect, the Slötvå Multi-Texture Reverb, certainly meets that criteria. This latest effect from the brand offers a handy variation of its Slö pedal, adding three easily accessible presets to make it even more versatile. ADVERTISEMENT Walrus Audio Slötvå Multi-Texture Reverb Walrus Audio has expanded its reverb pedal range with the new Slötvå Multi-Texture Reverb. The Slötvå, as mentioned above, is a variation of the popular Slö reverb pedal, but with three easy-to-access presets that give you a great way of switching between them in live settings. You can now save your favourite reverberated dreamscapes by simultaneously pressing and holding down on the bypass and sustain switches, or you can scroll through them by simultaneously pressing and releasing the same bypass and sustain switches. This makes the Slötvå Multi-Texture Reverb potentially a very handy tool for players that need access to more than one reverb sound on the fly. Walrus Audio Slötvå Multi-Texture Reverb with dreamy modulations, plus presets Dreamy Modulations The Slötvå has three unique algorithms, with a heavy slant towards ambiences with modulated reverbs. This makes it ideal for setting the mood on your tracks. You access these reverb modes via the three-way toggle switch Dark (Lower Octave), Rise (Ambient Swell), and Dream (Latching Pad). But that is not all. A set of secondary functions on the switch allows users to change between different wave shapes for the modulation on the reverb trail. It also has a neat and clear user interface, which I think is always appreciated, especially when on stage. A Slö Plus! With basic controls for Decay, Filter, Mix, X and Depth, this looks like a highly tweakable reverb, and if you already know the Slö then you will take to this new version like a duck to water. I’m also impressed by the price point, which seems reasonable considering what’s on offer.
